Rod Ryan Show Knowledge Base

Anyone who listens to the Rod Ryan Show on 94.5 The Buzz? I must have been out of the loop while working out of town for the past few months but what happened to Mark Wiggins (spell check lol) Did he get his own show or just moved on to something new. I've searched the website but couldn't find any answers, so I'm now turning to you, the Yahoo Answers community, if you know anything please let me know. Thank you.
What colleges teaches the course "Psychology of Facebook?"? I was listening to the radio this past Monday, specifically the Rod Ryan Show on 94.5 The Buzz in Houston, TX, and they had mentioned weird college courses that are being taught. One of the courses they mentioned was the Psychology of Facebook. I was wondering if anyone knew what colleges or universities that actual teach this class? Thank you.
I heard this alternative rock version of "Simply Having A Wonderful Christmastime" ? I heard a small clip of the song on the rod ryan show 94.5 the buzz, it sounded like blink 182 but Im not sure..does anyone have any idea who it is? Appreciate the help. laterz.
Drilled past the gates of Hell? This morning i woke up listening to 94.5 The Buzz on the radio. On the Rod Ryan Show they were talking about people that had drilled, 9 miles into the Earth past the gates of Hell, in Serbia. They played a noise, which was recorded where they had drilled to, over and over, which sounded like hundreds of people screaming. Is it real, and does anyone know where i can find it to hear it again?
I need to find the 94.5 intro song? Every weekday on 94.5 the buzz(TX) the same song plays in the morning around 6:45. The whole song basically sounds like a symphony? In the end of the song he says his name and introduces the Rod Ryan Show. BTW, if any of you tell me Bittersweet symphony, IT"S WRONG!!!!
What's the name of the song that they play during the bmx commercial in mtv2? & they like show some pro skaters, like p rod, & ryan sheckler at the end. plzzz! help.

gary sheffield: this year comeback player of the year? in a full-time role, he could easily hit 30 + homer with solid averages, which is rare in the post-steroid era with 15-20 steals. now the shoulder has healed, so he might even be able to play the outfield. many teams, especially contenders, can use him. phillies already showed interest, but sheff deserves a full-time role. yankees: he is a more productive hitter than matsui (who is the current dh), damon (leftfielder/designated hitter), and swisher. he is not much worse defensively. heck, put sheff in 3rd (where he started his career) till a-rod returns mets: rightfielder ryan church and leftfield platoon fernando tatis/daniel murphy are vastly inferior players to sheff. if the mets wanna contend with the phillies, sign sheff now. he comes a lot cheater than manny devil rays: the rays have little little power in the outfield with speedsters bj upton and carl crawford manning the center and left. move burrell to the field. gabe gross, ruggiano, matt joyce just dont cut it when ur competing with the yankees and red sox. sheff can dh when burrell move into the outfield. astros: drayton mclane loves veterans. pudge is already signed. why not bring in sheff to play right field, move hunter pence to center. michael bourn sucks anyway. the only problem is carlos lee is also a poor defender in the outfield giants: this power-starved team didn't have the money to sign manny. their catcher, bengie molina, led the team in homer last year...with 16. sheffield could easily duplicate that total if he's healthy. fred lewis and randy winn don't cut it in the outfield. even aaron rowand is only good for his defense. signing sheff could put giants in the playoff discussion in the weak NL west. heck they have randy johnson, who is 46. sheff is only 40 a's: if jack cust can play outfield for this team, so can sheff. he can cust can rotate in left field/dh and move holliday to right. travis buck isn't that good. rockies: why would u want seth smith in the outfield when gary sheffield is available? sheff can hit 40 + homers in coors. he's a matt holliday minus the defense major league teams take notes. sheff is the best available player right now (besides roger clemens and barry bonds, but that's another matter) and could very much take a team to the playoffs. sign sheff now.

Dodger fans: Is this a concern to you? I went to the Giants-Dodgers game last night. It was the first Dodger game I saw this year. There was one thing that stood out to me more than anything else, including Jonathan Sanchez' gem, the Giants' power surge, and the fan who brought a life-sized cutout of Matt Kemp's girlfriend, Rihanna, and posed with it, drawing chuckles from Kemp. Okay, I am a stickler for fundamentals, more so than most. I'd say I'm anal about it. But I saw thing by the Dodgers outfielder, especially Kemp, that would really piss me off if I were a Dodgers fan. (I'm a Yankees fan.) Particularly, the lack of hustle. I mean, you stand around in baseball more than any other sport, but when the ball gets put in play, you should play hard, right? Here are some examples: 1. Bottom second. Rowand grounds into a DP, third to second to first. CF Kemp never moved. RF Johnson took a couple light step toward the rightfield line. Kemp should be sprinting toward right center to back up the first throw, Johnson to foul territory to back up the second throw. 2. Bottom third. Sanchez doubled to deep right. Johnson made a diving try at the ball toward right-center. Kemp never moved. Even if Kemp had sprinted after the ball from the star, Johnson still probably would have gotten to it first after the dive, but he did nothing to backup the play. 3. Bottom sixth. Renteria tripled to deep right center. Johnson sprinted after the ball, while Kemp was jogging. Johnson dove and missed it. As soon as that happened, Kemp starting sprinting. I think if Kemp had been sprinting from the beginning, Renteria would have been held to a double. 4. Botton eighth. Just to show I'm not picking on Kemp solely, after Fontenot singled to center, neither RF Johnson nor LF Mitchell moved. Surely it was a routine single, but the RF and LF should be sprinting toward deep center to backup the play in case of an error. MEANWHILE: When the Giants were on the field, I noticed a different story. For example, in the top of the first, on the play the Dodgers scored, Ryan Theriot sac bunted to third, but Uribe threw the ball away, allowing Furcal to score. Theriot took second because the throw went into the seats. However, if the ball stayed in the field of play, Theriot would have had to stay at first. That's because Giants RF Jose Guillen was right there, in foul territory, backing up the throw. Another play I noticed: I sat in the leftcenter field bleacher. In the top of the seventh, Rod Barajas hit a high, routine fly to straightaway left. LF Burrell caught it easily. But while the ball was in the air, I was watching Burrell, but I saw a flash in the bottom of my view. It was CF Aaron Rowand sprinting over to left field to back up the play in case Burrell botched it. Sorry for the long rant, but as a baseball fan who has spend a lot of money to watch games all over the country, it bothers me to see players slacking like that. But I guess it's no coincidence why the Giants and Dodgers are where they are in the standings, respectively. One other thing: Remember the Yankees-Rays game Tuesday, when Crawford was throw out at third to end the game by Greg Golson. I noticed right after the out, Yankees LF Gardner was right by third base celebrating. He was there to back up the throw from right field. But he wouldn't have been where he was if he didn't start sprinting toward third base right when the ball was HIT, not THROWN!
Does This Dream Mean Anything? This is my dream: I woke up, got ready and told my parents that I was going to the shops. When I got there I noticed that I had only picked up $25 when I thought I had taken 50. It didn't really matter so I was looking around in a handbag shop for something worth $25, when a man (about 30) came up to me. 'Take this gun and kill every man wearing a suit, they're planning to blow up the shopping center and we'll all die!' he said. I didn't know if he was telling the truth but I did what he said. I went around shooting all men with a suit on until there was none left. Then my mom rang and told me to meet her in the car park. I ran outside, dropping the still-loaded gun on my way. I waited on the sidewalk until a red Volvo drove my way. 'Get in!' my mom shouted repeatedly. I jumped in and suddenly the whole shopping center behind me blew up in flames. We drove off quickly. Luckily the blood stains didn't show on the red car. We raced back to our house and I sat on my bed thinking about what had happened. At night time, for some weird reason, I slept on the floor. My cousins, Ryan* and Brendan*(names changed for safety) were sleeping over that night. As I dozed off I was having a bad dream, but dreaming already, I couldn't see it. My cousins were still awake and they walked over to me. Knowing I was ticklish they said 'Let's torture her!' and started to tickle me. I started crying tears of blood and then Brendan* started to whack me with a metal rod! I was dragged onto a bed of spikes in the living-room were my family started to eat me O.o Then I woke up (lol) Kind of a violent dream, can any tell me if it means anything, cause I don't dream often? Ella, you're wrong with the last bit. NOT everyone dreams EVERY night. 2 Reasons: Some people don't sleep EVERY night. And some people have blannk dreams in which nothing happens which isn't necessarily a dream. I almost ALWAYS have blank dreams. This is the first dream in like, 3 months. It's gotta mean something.....

How would you utilize the Free Agent market to address the problems of the Mets? Salaries Coming off the Books: 29.8 Million Pedro Martinez - 11.5MM ; Moises Alou - 7.5MM ; Oliver Perez 6.5MM; Orlando Hernandez 6MM ; Jorge Sosa 2MM ; Matt Wise 1.2MM ; Damion Easley 950K ; Fernando Tatis 400K ; 1/4 of Luis Ayala's salary 400K Salary increases: Johan Santana - 5.5MM ; David Wright 2.5MM; Jose Reyes 1.75MM; Ramon Castro - 650K ; Endy Chavez 250K Salary Decreases: Carlos Delgado - 4MM - The Marlins agreed to pay for the buyout clause in Delgado's contract, but the Mets will obviously be picking it up. Arbitration Eligble: Ryan Church, John Maine, Aaron Heilman, Duaner Sanchez, Pedro Feliciano The Mets payroll went from 120.9 in '07 to 137.4 in '08. If it were to increased by 10% in between '08 & '09, it become 151 Million. Santana was signed as a long term investment. He was paid 13.5MM in '08 which was similar to the salary of Glavine's in '07. So it's shown Wilpon's willing to spend. The number could be even higher because they're going into a new stadium & have come off another heart wrenching ending. So add that 29.8MM that's shaved off plus the presumptive 13.6MM and the Mets will look to have 43.4MM. Pretend your Omar Minaya. So how should the Mets use this 43 or 44 Million? Assume of all of the following guys down there, if there's a way you fill in and fix the problems of the Mets with this amount of money how would you do so? Superstars Free Agents: It's rumoring that C.C. Sabathia is looking at a 7yr/150MM+ deal. K-Rod's looking at 4yr/60MM at minimum. And Manny Ramirez is looking at 5yr/85MM. Noteworthy stats: The Mets bullpen blew 29 saves. 11 in the 9th inning (7 by Wagner). 18 before the 9th inning. Feliciano, Smith, Ayala and Heilman all had at least 78 appearances. The Mets still somehow won 89 games. The Mets were ranked 3rd in the NL in hitting, Johan Santana had the best ERA in best baseball and 206 K's. So it's obvious the bullpen was the part of the team that dragged down a very good team. I'll list the prioritized available options of the Mets this off-season. Starting with closer, working to set-up/bullpen, to the 4 & 5 starters void and finally to 2B and/or LF. Noteworthy Free Agent Closers: Francisco Rodriguez: 62 Saves, 2.24 ERA (27 years old) - Looking for 4 or 5 year deal at 15-17MM annually. Brian Fuentes: 30 Saves, 2.73 ERA (turning 33 in August) - Looking for a deal at around 3yr/36MM similar to the extension Lidge got with the Phillies. Kerry Wood: 34 Saves, 3.26 ERA (turning 32 in June) Noteworthy Right-Handed set up men: David Weathers: '08: 3.25 ERA, 72 appearances, 69 IP In all of Weather's last 4 seasons with the Reds, he'd never had less than 67 appearances, 69 IP's or higher than a 3.94 ERA. He's also had 50 saves in the last 4 seasons. He's 39 and will likely have market value expected of him is 2yr/7MM. Russ Springer: '08: 2.32 ERA, 70 Appearances, 50 IP In all of his last 3 seasons, he's never had less than 70 appearances, 50 IP's or higher than a 3.47 ERA. He's 40 and will likely either get a 1 or 2 year deal at 4 Million a year somewhere. Juan Cruz: '08: 2.61 ERA, 57 Appearances, 51 IP He's only 28 so he'll likely command up to three years probably ranging from 10 to 12 million. There are a few other decent right-handed reliever's out on the market, but these are obviously the best. Noteworthy Left-Handed Set-Up Men: Dennys Reyes: '08: 2.33 ERA, 75 Appearances, 46 IP He's never had above a 3.99 ERA in his last seasons with the Twins. He actually even had an 0.89 ERA in 66 appearances in '06. He's 32 and will likely command up to a three years contract ranging from 12 to 15 million. Joe Biemel: '08: 2.02 ERA, 71 Appearances, 49 IP In his last 3 seasons with LA, he's never had less than 62 Appearances, 49 IP or an ERA higher than 3.88. He's 32 and will likely get a similar contract to Reyes. Will Ohman: '08: 3.68 ERA, 83 Appearances, 58 IP His previous seasons were not as solid, but he had a very good year. He'll likely get a 2 or 3 year deal somewhere at 4 million a year. He turns 32 next August. Arthur Rhodes: '08: 2.04 ERA, 61 Appearances, 35 IP He had a 0.68 ERA with the Marlins in 25 appearances following the mid-season trade so he'll likely get a deal of at least 3 million a year. However, he's 39, missed all of '07 with injury and had a poor '06 season so he probably won't get more than a one year deal. Jeremy Affeldt: '08: 3.33 ERA, 74 Appearances, 78 IP He had identical numbers in '07. He's more of a middle reliever than a set up guy. He's only turning 30 next June so he'll likely get a 2 year deal somewhere at around 3 million a year. The Mets will either need to re-sign Oliver Perez or replace somehow replace him with a solid 3 or 4 starter with Derek Lowe or Jon Garland. All three of those pitchers will get in the area of 13-15MM. Perhaps the Mets spend an extra 8 million annually and make a bid for Sabathia
How do you think my writing is? Second Act. People often compare transitional moments in their life with acts in the play. I just flipped the first page of Second Act of my life. I am going to college. I was in depression. Ryan is scoring and I am once again getting far away from the girl I love. She was beautiful today. In the school, a brightly beautiful young lady was seen in my eyes. But, we did not have a single word exchanged with one other because I had to give her some space today. Actually I really wanted to grab her by the wrist and dunk her small face into my strong chest. Then softly whisper into her glistening ear, 'I love you, sugarbud.' Never happened. Then I came home, thinking why in the hell the weather condition is perfect everyday. I stood at the door, and wasted few minutes, weighing the pros and cons of walking into mom's property. Then she noticed me and opened the door and yelled, "What the hell are you doing there, get in!" As usual, my dog Genie was waiting for me, providing me with unconditional love. Love, the word consecrated by human beings for thousands of years. Will it ever exist in my life? Then, I sat down and tried to do some chores. I was struggling to get down to any business and make myself not think about her anymore. I forced myself to shut off her from my brain. But, it was no use. I gave up trying to do everything and began to think about her beautiful posture and seducing laughing. The way she looks and smiles at me. The way she opens her eyes wide when she gets excited. The way she closes and opens back up her bold eyes. The way her glistening dark brown hair falls down on her shoulders. Her small and artfully angular face. Her lips. Her fingers and nails. In my head, Venus was gone, she was the very definition of beauty of woman. Not being able to endure the torture, I went out and was headed to Ralphs to buy some craps and treats. While I was walking along the lonely streets beside the roads crowded with cars, I saw some birds flying up in the clear sky. The serene horizon blocked by several buildings struggled to engulf the dim lights of the sun. The air was chill and crisp and I was walking, looking at the infinite lines of flowers showing off its hypocritical naivete and celibacy seducing me with its fragrance. I stopped and plucked one of them. I snapped its neck and enjoyed the invisible blood gushing from its purple mouth. The bloody smell carried me away to the fantasy of the girl I consecrated. You don't know what to do with the boys. But you will get to know in that painful process of losing your virginity. I was at Ralphs. I constantly looked for something that could stimulate my sense of taste. I glanced at parts of my face reflecting off the shiny metal rods and mirrors hanging on the ceiling. Suddenly, I was a handsome boy walking in a buoyant manner in one of those commercials. Somebody put on music and I danced to it. Picking up some Kitkats and chocolate bars, I was humming to the song and enjoying the freedom of being away from home. Then, there was someone standing on the other end of the aisle. A nymph. No, I am not Shakespeare. She was one of the girls I could have known and be a friend with. As far as I know, she is very famous, popular, athletic, smart, witty, strong, and beautiful young lady with long dark hair and seducing green eyes. She is tall and has a great body that attracts every guy around and very smart. Almost too smart to attract some people like me. She was right there about 50 feet away from me. She was looking through the aisle, picking up some stuff with her father who also looked very educated and wealthy. One thing that went through my head at that moment was that, after all, she was a human too. I never thought she would come out with her dad and shop some craps in Ralphs. I thought she was too perfect to come to some local supermarket and buy stuff. But she was there. She was a human being, not a goddess. But she was a beautiful and smart human being. Then, I was on my way back to home. Passing by some shopping mall, I saw a bunch of people I know from school. They were hanging out together and enjoying their times. All sorts of feelings like envy and jealousy tided in. I wanted to be one of them. Each time I see some girl with dark curly hair, I tried to look into her face to see if the girl is she. But I never could see her outside the school. Missing her presence, I came home. Right outside the door, I expected to see those boring faces again. There they were sitting at the table and concentrating on those crappy foods served to them. Mom was there, and the fucking dog was barking at me for no reason. I watched movie Desperado. Selma Heyak almost looked like her. But I thought my girl is far better. Then I was in depression again after the movie. I checked back out my email and there it was. Admission decision is available now online. Oh my god. Trembling my hands, I clicked it and I found out that I got accepted.

Perhaps the Mets spend an extra 8 million annually and make a bid for Sabathia Yeah, he does have a lot of work. In my opinion though, this team has to be ability get right back there. It's scary to think about, but had the Mets even had a mediocre bullpen they would have won 100, probably gotten through the Cubs and would have been playing the Phillies in the NL right now. Probably would win too because they were 11-7 against them this year and had they got 10-7 in their last 7, they would have won the division and had home field. Those are just what if's though of course. The bottom line is the core of the Mets team is as good as any other. They got Santana, Pelfey and Maine all under contract and all their hitter's are under contract after ranking 3rd in the NL and 1st in 1st inning runs. Out of that 43.4 Million I mentioned, that didn't include the abitration numbers. I figure that to come out to around a 5MM increase. The Mets will most likely trade Schoenweis and Heilman. Schoenweis had a better season than last. If Minaya found a way to get a team to take Mota's 3.2MM salary after his horrible '07 season, he can find someone to take Schoenweis' 3.6MM salary. Schoenweis '08: 3.34 ERA, 73 Appearances, 56 Innings Mota '07: 4.76 ERA, 58 Appearances, 57 Innings Finding average middle reliever's isn't always easy so I'm sure they'll be able to trade him simply as a dump off to a team like Detroit. Heilman just has to go. I don't even care what they get back for him. He was paid 1.2MM last season. So if both of them are gone, that's a combined 4.8MM that'll be shaved off too. I don't think 8 pitchers will be replaced. It's possible Oliver Perez comes back. Even if he were not to, that'd be 2 SP's. It's a possibility the 5 SP will be Niese on Opening Day too. In the bullpen, the guy's who have to go are Heilman and Schoenweis. They shouldn't re-sign Ayala because he had a 5.50 ERA which wasn't all that much lower than it was in Washington. Their best reliever was Joe Smith. He'll be back. Brian Stokes has at least earned to compete for the long reliever's role in Spring Training. I'd allow him to compete with Parnell. They'll probably hold onto Feliciano because he's had better seasons in the past. I'd prefer not to see him back, but if they have to hold onto one lefty he's better and cheaper than Schoenweis. I'd prefer they trade Duaner Sanchez too, but I don't know if this will happen. There's a chance Eddie Kunz will have make the team as a short or middle reliever too. In response to Chip, I didn't say anyone had to read all this. If it doesn't interest you, than just don't read it. I was directing this to people who are either Mets fans or baseball fans who wanted to discuss Free Agency. I know you didn't do it or only ''half did it'', but I don't understand why some people go on Yahoo Questions to give irrelevant answers like ''Your post is long.'' And? Why state the obvious? I don't get it. I know you didn't mean it that way, but I've seen it happen before so I'm trying to prevent the irritation of possible posts. If it were up to me, this is what they should do. Sign the following: Derek Lowe 3yr/39MM, Brian Fuentes 3yr/37.5MM, Dennys Reyes to a 3yr/13.5MM, David Weathers to 2yr/7MM, David Eckstein to a 2yr/12MM, Odalis Perez 1yr/5MM. Trade off Schoenweis and Heilman and the number spent is only 39.7 Million. If they were to do all this, their payroll would be 147.3MM before Arbitration. If this were all to happen, the Mets roster would look as such: 1.SS Reyes 2.2B Eckstein 3.3B Wright 4.CF Beltran 5.1B Delgado 6. RF Church 7. LF Murphy 8. C Schneider Bench: C Castro 1B/OF Evans IF A. Reyes OF Chavez OF Pagan Rotation: 1. Santana 2. Pelfrey 3. Lowe 4. Mane 5. Odalis Perez Bullpen: Stokes/Parnell - Long Man Sanchez - Middle Reliever Feliciano - Middle Reliever Smith - Righty Specialist D.Reyes - Lefty Specialist/Set-Up Weathers - Set Up Fuentes - Closer If this were the Mets roster going into Opening Day, they'd look a lot better than right now. And yeah the Phillies be getting their share of bandwagoners around this time just like how the Mets had their's in '06. Typical postseason. You'd see people wearing Mets shirts who never did before. The same now is happening with the Phillies and Rays. Same happened with the Giants and Pats in the Superbowl. I think it'll be an exciting World Series regardless of who's there, but the postseason is missing something this year. I don't know what it is. Intensity? I don't know. It just feels weird. I do love seeing Tampa there because everyone thought the Red Sox or Yankees would. I don't see the Phillies beating them. They'll get through LA because of LA's inability to score. They had 2nd & 3rd with 0 outs in the 6th inning and didn't score in game 4. And in the 7th, they had 2nd & 3rd with 0 outs. The Phillies still do belong there, but no one can deny that the NL is weak. The Red Sox have come back 3-1 and 3-0 in recent memory and in both times they swept the World Series so the Phillies better hope they're not playing them. For all the Phillies know, it can happen to them. Anyone remember Manny saying last year it wouldn't be the end of the world if the Red Sox lost? Well, he's playing the Phillies now. If the Phillies lose, don't say I didn't jinx them.

For Ethical Law Enforcement Can the local Eugene Oregon District Attorney Alex Gardner in Lane County bring the Bushies to account for illegally suspending the Constitution toward those they were trying to teach that golden rule of this nation to and those who dead in this nation needlessly because the leaders here did not use ethical ways to deal with their enemies from the start of the conflict with the other nation? Question on Yahoo Answers February (Friday)13, 2009 How strong was the faith of the Christian martyrs in the early centuries? Many of the early Christian martyrs were either fed to the lions, burned, crucified on crosses, beheaded, or hanged. It seems as though they weren't afraid of death. The early church even honored the marytrs with Roman priests celebrating Mass over the tombs of the martyrs in the catacombs. So how strong was their faith? Divine Truth Your Answer: It seems as though they weren't afraid of death. (They knew they would get their life back) So how strong was their faith? (To die for it!) Luke 18:1-8 talking about prayer and in the end ask who will have that kind of faith in the end time where we are at right now. Their enemies were the church and state of their time and the same enemies today! The states (worldwide today) are influenced by the Anti-christ churches today worldwide! The "Anti-christ churches" (religious leaders) of Christ' today lead the "States" (Roman) to help kill the Christ not to make him king. They said we have no king but "the state" in so many words. The greater number say that about their own nation (state) today. So if the church and state are acting Anti-christ who in truth have the true faith today worldwide that the Anti-christ hates? The one faith that saved the Constitution of many nations without killing anyone in a Anti-christ war or wars? Who is it that obey God over human rule today when there is a conflict of rule of law between God's law and a nation's law? Does history show us WHO THEY ARE? YES! I saw Anti-christ church and state law against my personal faith years ago in Oregon and not yet fixed aright! Forwarded Message: Oregon leaders, Why when a serious point is trying to be made, no one gets it? Is that why nothing gets fixed really? Does anyone want it fixed? I have to ask!
