I am looking for information about a fly rod I have bought second-hand ?

The rod is 2 piece 10 ft 6 in Magnamite IM8 Alaskan lines 7-8-9 made by Bob Church. I would like to know how old it could be i.e. when was the rod avaliable comercially and at what price ? Also crucially has anyone used one of these rods and is it any good? Also as I will be primarily fishing Rutland Water would the rod be suitable for deep water trolling? Thanks

3. I am sure old Bob Church has his own web site , you could contact them , I have seen rods like it used , my friend had a Bob Church rod 11, 3,, Dave Shipman drifter , it was a mighty rod , I think yours will be ideal on Rutland , tight lines .
