Bamboo fly rod wanted horrocks ibbotson?
I'm trying to track down a bamboo fly rod mfg by horrocks ibbotson. I know they're not the most desirable rods but I have ties to the company. I've tried ebay but a lot of time it's people unloading junk. The condition is important but not the only thing. I'm looking for either the President or Chancellor model from circa 1920-30. These rods had the silver reel seat with the utica emblem engraved in it. Any leads on this would be greatly appreciated.

- Mine is not to question "why?" but to offer some type of answer. Here is a link to various amounts and qualities of HI products. All are Ebay auctions which you may have already looked at and passed on. These rods may not have a fantastic reputation but they do have history to them. Rods of the 1920-30 circa at times cost anywhere from $1.75-$30. During the "Great Depression" that was a great deal of money to spend on any sportsmans gear. I hope you find one of these antiques in fine shape. http://home.aol.com/efaqooppyt/09/ibbotson.html Good fishin' friend!
