How do you determine which action spinning rod to buy?
Public Comments
- Your spinning rod action should match your target specie and presentation. Please note there are two main variables, action and power. Here is a great tool. http://www.stcroixrods.com/rodselector/default.asp Good luck! Jason
- I have to check the reel out physically. If it the combo has the right weight, feel, price range, I will check it out. I also talk with some of my fishing friends and get their opinions, and if I ask they would let me check out their combos.
- it depends what your going for. if your going for trout, bluegill, perch you want a light action with 2-8 lb line. if your going for bass, walleye, pike, muskie you should get a medium with at least 12lb line. and for salt water fish you should get a heavier action rod and real with 15-25 lb line. and if you want something between light and medium go with some with 10lb line.
- If you have any fishing pictures we would like for you to create your own page on www.thesmokingtuna.com Thank you so much!!!
