- Just go to a walmart or a sporting goods store and ask them this will be you best bet to find one that is right for you.
- well acytually if u are gonna start fishing lots for anything then id get a g-loomis not the cheap ones im talkin ones like around 100-300...it is very good rod for anything theyre light and very comftorble...if u do get a g-loomis get one like the imx or glx and once wen bought u will never want people to use it...its like a third arm...be sure to get a good action too cause if its too light it wont be good for all kinds of fish. if not then just find a good quality rod that isnt too light that it feels like plastic and is not 2 flimsy...
- if you want info as well as an outfit, go to your local tackle store, they should put you on the right path. Or, go to K-Mart or Big W, they carry some good cheap combos, last one, if you have BCF in Melbourne, try them as well..
- the best of the shelf rod is id say is the Shakespeare ugly stick light to medium rod tip action with about 6-8lbs test line on a shakespeare spinning reel(usually comes with the rod at wal-mart or bass pro) but if you want expensive get shimano sets ya back bout $150 the ugly stick combo cost some were around 20-30 bucks its a good rod its all id buy when i was young. catch some biggn's!
