i am going to buy a spinning rod and reel for bass and cat fish what rod and reel should i buy?

1. what you buy for catfish, would depend a lot, on how big of catfish you might catch. for myself, i like a 7' medium action rod & a reel that will hold 125-200 yds of 10-12# line. recently, i have bought several rod & reel combo's in the following Diawa Regal-RG 3000-XIA spooled with 12# Trilene & 30# power pro line Bass Pro Shops Tourney Special 7' Rods the largest bass i have caught on this type of combo, was an 8# 3oz the largest catfish, was a 25#9oz Blue cat any god rod , reel & line combo would be good, i just listed what i use
2. a good reel would be a shimano bait runner .(in a 3500 or 4500 size series).......get two spools one for catfish 12 lb test and one spool for bass at 8lb test.......... and for the fishing pole it would be up to you, but keep in mind sensitivity needed for plastic worm fishing for bass.....
3. Okuma makes some nice spinning reels like the Avenger for under $50.00 they are hard to beat.You should also look into the Whuppin stick spinning rods from cabela's they have a 10 yr warrenty.They have 6'6" & 7' med actions for $19.99. I own two of their rods and they are like they say nearly indestructible,and high quality.
