What kind of line is good with a spinning rod that is medium powered on catching fish?

1. I use Stren but as long as you get a good brand you should be ok. You probably want 10 to 12lb test.
2. berkely trilene in xt or xl is a good choice in ten lbs.test strength,also ande is a certified IGFA quality brand monofilament line in several colors available and very strong,with good knot strength and low memory.I use the pink on alot of my rods with good results.
3. For casual fishermen, a good ole' Ugly Stick or Lightening Rod will do fine. Some top quality ones that I like are All-Star, Falcon, Castaway.
