  1. Sorry but i don't fully get this do you mean what reel should you pair with this, if you do i would recommend a light fixed spool spinning reel try cabelas http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/index/index-display.jsp?id=cat20333&navAction=jump&navCount=1&cmCat=MainCatcat20166&parentType=category&parentId=cat20166 Try one made by shimano if your on a budget. Also these arent bad rods no, there are better but for the price you cant get much better.
  2. If ya' just be startin' out, then I'd go with a reel (spinning) at a reasonable price. Daiwa, Shimano, Penn, Quantum, Abu Garcia are just a few good brand names. Go through the site that AIR FLO gave ya' ~ find the right price along with what you'll need. Link below, is for a Shimano spinning reel, item # 38-330-376-00 should match up with your Uglystik pretty well. When ya' make the decision on the reel ~ "Fish On" ;)... 3. Depends on what action it is. I agree, there are several good Shimanos reasonably priced.
  4. Get the Shimano Sonora 1500 FA or 2500 FA, $40 and $50 respectively. I have the 1500, i use it with a medium action six foot ugly stik. I use it for anything from largemouth bass and catfish at the lake, to bonito, mackerel, and sand bass from the pier. For the price i would say this reel has one of the best drag systems. It also comes with an extra spool which you can change in like 20 seconds. I have one spool with 20Lb spectra with 12 lb mono top shot for most saltwater applications. The other spool i have 8Lb monofilament for the lakes or piers. The capacity on the 1500 is 90 yards of 8lb test. I have two ugly stiks, they are great beginner rods. The one i use is a loaner from my friend who got his about 18 years ago when he was 4. Its still like new. Just make sure you wash your rods and reels after exposure to saltwater, every time.
