what is the best spinning reel for drop shot rod?

2. I like the Daiwa 2500 Certate (the poor man's version of the Steez) for my drop shot rods. Very lightweight, substantial drag system yet very smooth for use with light lines and 10 bearings make it perfect for that style fishing. Shimano Stella is every bit as good at twice the price.
3. i use a shimano sedona. i forgot what size it is but it's spooled up with 6lb line. i bought it for around 50 bucks. i have it on a 7' medium action (i think) rod, my favorite combo for lakes and bays.
