What's your favorite fly rod for streams?
I own a Redington 8wt for steelhead, and a rod I personally made that is a 5 piece 4wt for smaller streams and lakes. I used a Cabela's "Stow-away" and my husband just corrected me its a 7 piece, (Heck, I guess I lost count, either that or it was just late when I made this post...) with Fuji, single-foot guides with a reverse-wells up-locking reel seat. It's a purty forest green too! My 5 wt is a graphite blank I purchased on Ebay, with a fast action tip for a delicate presentation.

- For small streams, there is nothing like my Phillipsons: 7'6" Preferred (bamboo), an absolute joy w/ DT5 line or my 7' Phillipson Epoxite midge rod. DT4 for using small blue wings, tricos, midges, ants (my Summer rod) For the larger streams I usually reach for my Dan Craft Five Rivers FT (9' 5wt) that I built, the rod is an absolute cannon.
- I use my old trusty Fenwick FF755 with 5wt line for most trout on even large rivers. More fun to keep it light weight.
- has to be my sage 4wt brilliant rod also last time i was in england i bought a hardy rod but i dont use it on the river as its 10 ft and where i fish the trees etc get in the way if i use that
- I use a 5wt for small streams.
- My favorite small stream rod is a 3wt which I built on a St Croix SCIV blank
