What is a good fly rod for salmon fishing?

1. For pinks (humpy) a 6 weight is plenty of rod. For Sockeye (red) and Silvers (coho) the 6 will be a bit under size even if it has a good backbone. A 7 is good for those. I do not fly fish for King (chinook) because they almost require a 9 or 10 and these rods are tiresome to cast all day.

3. i fish for all salmon with a 3wt but i am going after the world record. a 8 wt will work good for all salmon
