Pokemon Sapphire: Which fishing rod should I use to capture a Feebas on Route 119?
Okay I've been told by sites that Feebas are located at the lake on Route 119 in 6 different spots. What fishing rod would be the best in order to getting a Feebas?

- Well, its pretty hard to say, try both super rod and good rod, they both have a chance of catching it. But, you've gotta find it first... that fish is super rare, i could never find it and i played sapphire and ruby for 2 yrs+.
- you have best chances with a super rod. i caught around 5 feebas in 7 minutes with it :)
- The good rod would work, although I don't suggest it if you own the super rod already. The super rod will give you a 60% to 80% chance of catching a feebas if you find the correct spot(s). WARNING: the spots change only when you change the "Trendy Phrase" in Dewford Town.
- The old rod. Feebas will appear on 5 random water spots when fisshing on route 119. Never go change a trendy saying in the house on dewford town-as it will make the feebas switch positions. When using the old rod, the only tool able to catch feebas. you will be given 50% chance for feebas to appear on the spot where it is. this process can take as long as 10 hours or as short as 2 minutes. good luck!
- you have the highest chance with the old rod
- Ok, I'll clear this up, because everybody seems to have differing opinions. The way I did it was to start surfing at the very bottom at the south-east of the route, and I used an old rod, because it takes a lot less time to hook a fish!!! Simple as. Any rod will catch it, because the 6 tiles that feebas appears on have around a 50% chance of hooking a feebas, but old rod takes the shortest amount of time. Try each tile 5 times then move on. Unless you're seriously unlucky, you'll find a feebas in the first few hours of searching. Once you know what you're doing, feebas in't really that hard to catch.
- Use the Old Rod. It is the quickest and easiest to use, and the Feebas are fairly common once you hit the tile it's in, so just fish once in every tile and move on. Since the Old Rod takes so little time to use, I found mine in about half and hour, and the Feebas are still around Lv. 21. Also, don't change the trendy saying in Dewford because that affects the six tile the Feebas are found in.
- Well... u can use any kind of rod it doesn't really matter. I used a old rod cuz its the fastest to get up... The other rods take a couple of more seconds to get up... Also, the feebas r at random squares so u'll hav to fish 4 them 4 a whle... Once u find a square w/ feebas u should catch a male and female... The best nature 4 a feebas to evolve into milotic would be a bold nature or gentle nature...
