  1. Janet, here are a couple options since I don't have a real detailed description of what is behind that glass or how thick it is. 1- If the glass has a wall that it is attached to then you have no problems to worry about here. They make rods that you can turn and they unscrew (basically pushing tighter against the walls to support your shower curtain. 2- If there isn't much support behind the walls then I would recommend that you get adhesive pads that stick to the glass and mount the rod that way. Doing it this way will not put pressure on the walls, but I can't imagine that #1 wouldn't work for you.
  2. They make tension shower rods that work the same as tension curtain rods. That would be my first choice. They also make brackets that are susended from the ceiling to hold the rod. Shower rods are also made in a "D" shape, with the straight side fastened to the back wall of the shower. One more thought. You could epoxy the plastic closet pole brackets to the glass and then just slip in a lightweight rod.
  3. Instead of epoxy, use metal closet rod cups and use GOOP silicone adhesive to hold them up. Clean both the cup and the glass location with warm soapy water and dry. The GOOP is intended to be a contact cement, so touching with GOOP laden part, taking off and letting it air for a few minutes and then putting it back should make it stick immediately. You might want tape if you don't trust the quick stick. For a rod, get aluminum tubing at the hardware store and cut to length. Looks neat and doesn't rust.
