How big should your fishing rod be if you are 5 foot tall?

I just got interested in fishing and wanted to know what size of fishing rod to get.

1. The length of rod has nothing to do with your height, and everything to do with the type of fishing you want, plan, or like to do. It is a great activity - I don't know if I have ever had a bad day fishing. Enjoy it!
2. Depends on the type of fishing. Accurate fishing requires a longer rod. River fishing needs a heavier action rod. But ultimatley whatever feels best... I would go with a 6 foot medium action rod for overall use.
3. iam only 6" taller and i use a 16 metre pole all the time so size means nowt.
