What is the best type of fishing rod for me?

i normally fish freshwater. i like to fish for every kind of fish. the only rods ive ever really used are spincast reels but im willing to try something new.i normally fish off the shore or a dock. the bait i use the most is nightcrawlers but i do own alot of crainkbaits and spinnerbaits and use them sometimes.

2. If you've only ever fished spincast reels, the next reel you should go with is a spinning reel. You can get them in any size you want, and they're a lot easier to get used to than a baitcaster. I personally prefer spinning reels for anything except trolling.
3. Alright to start off- You should get a spinning reel instead of a spincast. Spinning reels have better drags, and longer casting distance. Alright, because' you fish off of shore and docks, a longer rod would be nice because it cast further, which is nice for fishing off of shore; it gets you where the fish are. Maybe a 7-footer would do you good. I like 7 and 6.6 foot rods because of the extra-casting distance, even on a boat. As for a reel, it all depends on your budget. You do not have to spend $60 for a good reel, but you do have to spend $20 at least for a good reel. The only problem is the roller-bearing, which isn't perfect, and it slighty wobbles.
